The Mogoda neighborhood was built around its main building, the Mogoda Castle. This building has been refurbished over different periods of time (the original parts dates from the 15th century). A complex of terraced houses encloses the castle’s yard forming a colony. Originally, this was one of the few agricultural colonies in Catalunya.
Each house, just across the street, has its own orchard plot with a little shed to keep farm tools. These sheds, about 25 m2, were constructed in pairs with individual accesses to the gardens. These sheds, accesses and plots were totally restored, and a new irrigation system was built.
The terraced houses were refurbished in 2004, so the composition criterias used enhance the unified image of the whole complex.
