A renowned house placed at the old part of Premià de Dalt was refurbished. Two new adjacent houses were built as well.
In the first case, the intervention carried out is strictly an interior restoration, bringing its complex partitions to a simple form.
In the second case, the project took into account the sitting surroundings and the urban planning laws which are slightly contradictory with the area, although the buildable area is used up. The projected volume is fragmented so that the resultant environmental impact gets reduced.
Typical materials from the old part of the old quarter are used; ironed stucco and wood. A neoplastic reinterpretation of the traditional balcony of the old quarter’s houses is proposed.
