The new square, placed in a privileged emplacement, stands as a urban limit over the Ripoll river’s cliff becoming a viewpoint deck. The access from Ronda Sta. Maria becomes the welcoming square, a natural extension of the Rambla of Sant Oleguer, with a more urban character. The new square is the new meeting point of the students at the entrance of the high school nearby and invites to walk around the Mil·lenari green area and visit the viewpoint deck over the river.
Historical and symbolic considerations about the existing surroundings have been preserved. Respecting and improving the green areas of this particular site on Barberà del Vallès was the primary objective, as well as keeping at minimum the paved areas.
