COLL ESTENALLES INFORMATION CENTRE

A new building for an information centre was built in the natural park in order to modernise and adjust the old existing building. Main premise was maximum profit and minimum incidence on the existing buildings. New actions imply:

-Lowering the auxiliary’s volume height.

-Decreasing the whole composition impact through new façade treatments.

Wrapping the volume in wood, dissociating the auxiliary volume by eliminating the connected elements, reducing its height and creating a corten steel socket combined produce a new singular appearance almost like a piece of furniture. In such manner, the old existing building stands out from the new volume.
